Privacy statement

Verticas Service GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “Verticas”) undertook to observe the applicable statutory provisions for the protection of personal information and data security during the creation of its website. We would like to inform you about the circumstances in which we collect your information, how we handle it and to whom we provide it when necessary.


Consent to data use
We shall not collect any personal data from you on our website (e.g. name, address, telephone number or email address), unless you voluntarily supply us with such information (e.g. as part of orders, enquiries, surveys or contact forms), or if this is permitted within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions regarding the protection of your data.


Intended purpose
We shall only collect, process and use your personal data solely for the purposes of order processing and invoicing, unless the collection, processing and use of such information is carried out:


– For a purpose directly connected to the original reason for the collection of personal data
– On the basis of a legal obligation or an order issued by a court or public authority;
– To establish or preserve legal claims, or to prevent illegal activities.

Data logs
Visits to our websites shall be logged. The following data shall be recorded: your computer’s current IP address; visited websites; browser type; date and time; and your computer’s operating system. However your IP address will be pseudonymized so that the last digits cannot be recognized. This data shall only be collected for data security purposes. We shall not use this automatically generated information for any other purposes, such as for statistical reasons.

 

Rights of users and affected party

As far as data processing is concerned, you as a user and affected party have the right:

- to inquire on the data processed, for further information on the data processing and for copies of the data (Art. 15 GDPR);

- to correct or complete inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR);

- the immediate deletion of the data concerning yourself (Art. 17 GDPR);

- the receipt of the data concerning and provided by yourself and the transfer of this data to other providers/responsible parties (Art. 20 GDPR);

In addition, you have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 Paragraph 1(f) GDPR. We will then no longer process your data for these purpose(s) unless our legitimate interests prevail or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Without prejudice to your rights, you may complain to a data protection authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data by Verticas is contrary to or violates the principles of the GDPR (Art. 77 GDPR).


Data storage
We shall only store your personal data for as long as necessary to achieve the original objectives pursued when you provided us with the information. However, we shall continue to store your data if you have actively given us permission to do so, or if this is prescribed by law (Storage Obligation for Invoices)


Secure transmission of data
We shall use SSL encryption to ensure the secure transmission of your personal data. This is recognised as a secure form of transferring data according to current knowledge. If data is exchanged without this tool, such as via email, such transmissions of data shall not be considered secure.


Security
Verticas is committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your personal information confidential. In order to prevent the loss or misuse of data stored by us, we take extensive technical and organizational security precautions, which are regularly reviewed and adapted to technological progress. Our employees are accordingly trained and committed to secrecy and data protection.

Cookies
8. A cookie is a piece of data that a website might send to your browser to be saved on your system, e.g. to control your connection while you visit a website. We shall only use cookies for the length of your stay on our websites. Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser during your next visit.

You have the option of setting your browser so that either cookies are not received or the receipt of cookies is reported to you. This allows you to decide whether to accept or reject the cookie. Please note that if you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

The following cookies are used within this site:
- Forms authentication cookie. Used for authenticating registered customers. After the session these cookies will be automatically deleted.
- Customer cookie. The current user is recorded here. The data will be saved for one year if not deleted by the user.
- Recently viewed products cookie. Saves a list of articles recently viewed. These cookies will be automatically deleted after 10 days.

Email
If you provide us with your email address, we shall communicate with you via email. Your email address shall not be disclosed to third parties. You may revoke your consent to the use of emails at any time.  


Links to other websites
Verticas shall not be responsible for the data protection requirements or contents of third-party websites accessed via links on our sites.


Children
This website is not aimed at children under 14 years of age. Verticas shall not knowingly collect or store the personal data of children.


Changes to the privacy statement
Since legal changes, changes to our internal processes or ongoing technical developments in the field of IT technology may make it necessary to adapt this data protection declaration, we ask you to read this privacy statement regularly. We therefore reserve the right to make additions or changes to this privacy statement. This privacy statement can be retrieved and printed out at any time.
